Energize the Chain (EtC) was founded to address the problem of child deaths due to vaccine-preventable diseases. By facilitating public-private partnerships among ministries of health and the telecommunication industry, EtC can capitalize on the power and data transfer capabilities available at cell towers, the organization provides reliable power and remote monitoring, which are essential to preserving vaccine effectiveness, a sustainable and scalable solution. Through these means, EtC aims to develop sustainable solutions to problem of effective storage of vaccines to maintain their potency and effectiveness and to overcome delivery obstacles in developing countries associated with maintaining vaccine refrigeration.
