Center for Health Market Innovations (CHMI)

For the past two years, CHMI has operated through a network of eight country-based partners that, together, carried out activities in sixteen countries. CHMI is now looking to expand its network of in-country partners and broaden the geographic scope of its activities.

Results for Development Institute (R4D), which manages the Center for Health Market Innovations (CHMI), has issued a call for Expressions of Interest (EOI) for organizations interested in acting as a CHMI country or regional hub and carrying out CHMI activities in low- and middle- income countries.

R4D will fund organizations that can inform and connect programs working to improve the quality, affordability and accessibility of health care for the poor. The end goal of all partner activities will be to enable the improvement and scale-up of promising health market innovations both within their country and across borders.

The EOI invites organizations interested in undertaking CHMI activities to submit a brief description of their ideas and areas of interest for funding consideration. Organizations that submit an EOI and whose profile and proposed activities are well-aligned with CHMI goals and priorities will be asked to submit full project proposals.

CHMI will consider funding organizations located in any low- or middle- income country, though we and our funders are particularly interested in organizations based in the following countries: Bangladesh, Cameroon, Ethiopia, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, the Philippines, Rwanda, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Vietnam, Zambia, Zimbabwe.

The deadline to submit an EOI is August 10, 2012 at 12:00 EST.
