D-Prize seed capital to problem solvers in priority health areas - Deadline, November 20
D-Prize will award seed capital to:
- A social entrepreneur who proposes a pilot campaign that distributes praziquantel for schistosomiasis, an intestinal worm that affects 220 million people.
- A social entrepreneur who can create a simple management system that tracks vaccine supplies.
- A social entrepreneur who can develop an organization that trains traditional birth attendants to administer misoprostol and prevent PPH.
- A social entrepreneur who can create a model to identify patients for early treatment or surgically-correctable treatment of obstetric fistula, cervical cancer, club foot, and cataracts.
If selected, D-Prize will award $10,000-20,000 to pilot an idea over a three-month trial period. Although the deadline isn't until November, early entries are more likely to advance to the final round. Read more here.
