Summary: 

Oasis CURE operates Oasis Medical Center, a small community clinic. The clinic is in the process of expanding into a larger outpatient clinic that will incorporate patient and family education. The larger facility will eventually become the hub hospital with community clinics in the outlying areas.

Program goals/rationale: 

Oasis CURE has a goal of reducing maternal and newborn mortality by 20% over three years in a half million person catchment area in rural Chittagong.

Key program components: 

The model of care includes four elements which help integrate facility and community health:

Oasis CURE also desires to:

  • Provide medical care in the villages through clinics

  • Promote preventive medicine, hygiene, and environment

  • Educate healthcare workers

  • Conduct research and obtain health related data locally
