Program goals/rationale:

Their goal is to encourage behavior changes that would lead to the use of preventive dental care methods and to utilize the results to gain funding to continue and expand PACE’s dental care services by improving oral hygiene and conservation of teeth. This is done by providing preventive, curative and rehabilitative dental services and also conduct dental hygiene outreach

Key program components:

Through effective dental care (preventive, curative, and rehabilitative), educational outreach, and volunteer activities, PACE seeks to improve the dental health of patients and to encourage the community to embrace the importance of preventive dental maintenance. PACE also aspires to serve as an example for the provision of dental care in the region and eventually achieve financial self-sufficiency. For dental care services, PACE prioritizes students who attend the school, staff members, parents of the school children, and community members, respectively.

PACE works with dental patients to educate them on the importance of proper dental care and uses surveys to track the data by asking a variety of questions to all patients both pre and post appointment. With this information, PACE hopes to encourage the community to embrace the importance of preventive dental maintenance.
