Pambazuko focuses on supporting people living with HIV and empowering the people who care for them.

Program goals/rationale: 

Pambazuko seeks to work with partners to prevent HIV and help those living with HIV to live well. One of the most powerful weapons in the fight is to share strategies for staying on the HIV medications and having safer sexual lives.

Key program components: 

A web-based application delivered on PDAs collects patient risk assessment data, and delivers counseling protocol training and evaluation to nurses involved in HIV care.
