Summary: 

Primedic provides unlimited access to high quality, affordable and efficient primary healthcare for low-income families and corporate employees through a membership model, with secondary and specialist medical attention available at highly discounted rates.

Key program components: 

A leading provider of primary health care services in Monterrey, currently operating three clinics and one radiological imaging facility. With a focus on preventative care, Primedic provides access to unlimited primary health care and selected medical technology services and specialists through an innovative membership program which is affordable to urban individuals and families.

Primedic patients pay a membership fee of approximately US$10 and receive access to unlimited primary care consultations with specialists in internal medicine, pediatrics, OB/GYN and family medicine. As opposed to general practitioners who usually would have to refer a patient to someone with further training for more complex cases, patients at Primedic immediately get access to doctors with a specialty degree.

The Company has a radiological imaging center that offers patients a variety of services including x-rays, mammographies, ultrasounds, and CAT scans. Additionally, access to secondary and tertiary healthcare is available to Primedic members at significant discounts.

Program history: 

The Company was founded in 2000 by Dr. Paulino Decanini, who was recently distinguished as an Endeavor Entrepreneur by the global organization Endeavor. The Company today serves over 4,000 clients in 6 clinics and is working to expand its model throughout Mexico.
