Key program components:

Roko Cancer means Stop Cancer. It recently funded a Fully Equipped Mobile Breast Cancer Detection Unit to travel through India to perform checkups and mammograms to screen for breast cancer.

In the Meghalaya region, this project was initiated in partnership with the state government to launch a cancer screening campaign for the entire state. Two mobile units are currently operating, one in Khasi and the other in Garo region, to help achieve early detection of breast, cervical and oral cancers. Each mobile unit has diagnostic equipment and a team of doctors and volunteers conducting cancer detection camps free of cost.

In Punjab, a mobile van conducts awareness campaigns with the help of health workers along with volunteers showing documentaries on breast cancer to villagers and teaching women to perform breast self-examinations.
