Key program components
The SureHealth product suite forms part of a wider range of products which cater to the health coverage needs and demand of the different segments of the Nigerian population. A pilot project began with 11 members of a Taxi Drivers Association in 2011 and is currently in the post pilot phase. The plan provides a prepaid comprehensive benefit package combining outpatient, inpatient, maternity, optical and dental benefits completely cashless at the point of care.
Variants of the plan offer more basic services with lower premiums (SureHealth Lite). Covered health services are obtained from pre-selected, accredited, contracted clinics and hospitals with each member allocated to a specific provider. As a rule, members belonging to a local chapter of a group or association are allocated to a hospital which is located within that locality.
