Swasti is a registered not-for-profit society that aims to advance health and well-being by:
* Mobilising communities to better address health care priorities. * Improving the effectiveness and efficiency of organisations in the health sector. * Combining sector knowledge with gender, equity, vulnerability, anti-poverty perspectives and management skills.

Swasti has built and is constantly updating a repository of current and relevant information, including a specialised collection of books, reports and other resources in print and electronic form. Swasti compiles and shares information through a variety of media and forums such as electronic InfoPacks and websites. Threy have also developed an InfoPack on HIV/AIDS that contains reports, guidelines, case studies, best practice documents and more across four CDs.

Swasti is a part of the Catalyst Group of institutions that has been working in the development sector for over a decade. This group, in addition to Swasti, comprises of Catalyst Management Services, a consultancy, research and training organization; and Vrutti, a livelihoods resource centre.
