Rural patient who usually travel large distances to consult specialists, do not waste their time traveling, or waiting in the queue. From the comfort of their villages, the rural patient can access specialist primary care.
WHIMS enable doctors/health-workers in rural and remote areas to capture the health information of their patient using the web-application. Given the fact that not all rural areas have internet access, WHIMS has been designed to be accessed through tablets and smartphones using mobile network (2G/3G). The cloud-based application is best suited for a Hub-and-Spoke model implementation because of its scalability. Thus, a large number of rural patients can be served using the network. They have also integrated basic medical equipment (Sphygmomanometer, ECG, Glucometer, Phonocardiogram etc.) into the WHIMS application, so data is seamlessly captured without human intervention.
WHIMS does not require very high bandwidth for data transfer and can work in areas where supply of electricity is erratic.

Billing Rules Engine
This feature takes care of the end-to-end requirements of a rural health center's billing system. Consultation & treatment tariff are maintained in the rules engine and along with that, the system gives comprehensive reports on payment collection, dues and allied service amounts. The financial data can be accessed real time by management anytime, anywhere.
This feature gives complete patient health profile and treatment-related information created over multiple patient-visits. Diagnosis, treatment plans, prescriptions, diagnostic reports etc. can be managed through this module.
Upload patient reports/suggest a nutrition/diet plans to patients and refer them to other hospitals when necessary. Create appointments online in other hospitals.
Materials & Inventory Management
Materials management encompasses purchase and store functions, enabling definition of master data, transactions, transfers, reconciliation, returns & expiry and all types of stocks such as Medicines & Inventory.
Opening & closing stock, reorder levels, pharmacy billing, transactions, reconciliation, reporting and all types of pharmacy management.
