Faith Mahinda

Faith is a full time Research Associate at the Institute. Faith has worked with vulnerable and marginalized groups in Kenya particularly with communities living in slum areas like Mukuru, Korogocho and Kibera-the largest slum in East Africa. Faith has a special interest in finding solutions to overcome the challenges of availability, accessibility and affordability faced by the poor in relation to health care. She has carried out several research inquiries on areas related to improving drug supply in local health centers and effectiveness of community based education in achieving retention of students after their graduation.

Faith is a member of the Association of Public Health professionals in Kenya- APHO (K), the Network towards Unity for Health-a group of health professionals whose aim is to promote equity in health through community oriented education, research and service. She is also an Associate Member of the Institute of Management Information Systems (AIMIS).

She holds a Bachelor of Science (Bsc.) Upper Second Degree in Environmental Health from Moi University and is currently pursuing a Masters in Public Health Degree at Kenyatta University in Kenya. She holds a Higher Diploma in Information Systems from the Institute of Management Information Systems (IMIS), UK.
