The National Institute of Health is accepting applications for a research project grant for innovative measures of oral medication adherence for HIV treatment and prevention. This grant would fund research seeking to advance the development of bioanalytical assays, pill ingestion sensors, drug metabolite and taggant detection systems, or wireless technologic approaches for monitoring and improving adherence to oral antiretroviral therapy and pre-exposure prophylaxis.

 BBC reports that a new Ebola serum supply has reached Liberia. The experimental treatment, made from blood of recovered survivors, is being given to patients who will be monitored to determine how safe and effective the serum treatment is.
