Our latest annual Highlights report: Findings from 2015

CHMI is excited to release Highlights: Findings from 2015, our annual review of our program database and country partner activities. Since 2010, the Center for Health Market Innovations (CHMI) has worked to provide information on innovative, pro-poor approaches to healthcare in low- and middle-income countries. Each year, Highlights shares a recap of our analyses of developments in health markets and new trends in innovative programs in the CHMI database. This year’s report features 70 programs in the database working across a range of innovative approaches that seek to deliver better and more affordable healthcare to the world’s poor.

What else is new?

2015 was an exciting year for CHMI. The CHMI Program Database now features over 1,500 health programs in more than 130 countries. A global audience of over 20,000 visitors relies on the CHMI website every month for information on innovative programs, policies, and practices improving healthcare for the poor. Our growing portfolio of Learning and Adaptation activities connects program managers around the world, and encourages continued iteration and improvement of health innovations.

We also continue to upgrade to the CHMI website. Our recent redesign improves access to the open-source CHMI database, and aims to encourage participation from our online community of health innovators. The new homepage provides quick access to CHMI’s signature products, and features a rotating panel of innovations with a CHMI Plus “Gold” status. A new about page features the many Learning and Adaptation opportunities available for innovators, and the research products using our data on global health innovations. Our new look positions the CHMI site to respond to the needs of our users, and function as an essential resource for global health change-agents seeking to better understand the global innovation landscape.
