In March 2018, CHMI had the opportunity to lead a presentation titled Sharing in the Global Economy: Lessons from Digital Health Innovators, at the 18th Global Development Conference: Science, Technology, and Innovation for Development in New Delhi, India.
The conference was heavily attended by professionals from IT organizations, policy think-tanks, and social impact investment funds. Presentations at the conference drove much discussion around ethical considerations for integrating innovative technological advancements into emerging economies. Innovators and others in the space shared their thoughts around the ethical questions of implementing digital health technology, the barriers to scale, and potential impacts.
In our presentation, we explore this new economic reality and its impacts upon health care delivery in LMICs.
