Uganda

Topic Overview

Ugandan programs are finding unique ways to finance care. The Health Baby Vouchers, for example, is working to reduce the disease burden associated with maternal delivery and STIs and to make health care delivery more accountable by linking services to reimbursement. Women can purchase the voucher for just over US$1.50 from a network of Community Based Workers, and will receive four antenatal visits, a full delivery service including c-section if needed, and a postnatal care visit at six weeks. Explore how programs in Uganda are improving healthcare service and delivery.
