The goal extends to demonstrate that seva or volunteerism can be a model of healthcare service delivery alongside the government and private machinery.
Key program components
We choose, out of principle, to work completely impartially, meaning all our choices are based on the needs of the patient and in the spirit of SEVA or volunteerism, a principle which is enshrined in ancient Indian traditions, International Humanitarian Law and medical ethics.
Our team includes Doctors (Allopathic, Ayurvedic, Homeopathis, etc), General and Specialty hospitals, Medical, Dental, Nursing, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy colleges and their students, Pharmacists, and Diagnostic labs and the whole spectrum of individuals and organisations affecting Healthcare. While doctors provide medical help, a large number of non-medical volunteers assist in logistics and administrative jobs.
Our volunteering opportunities are unique and can be customized based on the preferences of the volunteers. Highlights of our volunteering opportunities:
Micro-volunteering:Makes it easy and possible for doctors to volunteer even in rural areas of need
Flexibility: The program is planned based on the time availability and preference of location of the doctor
Sustainability: The involvement of volunteers & doctors from within the community ensures continuity sustainability of the program
Sharing responsibility: The doctor can choose to take as much responsibility as they wish. Volunteers will be happy to shoulder the responsibilities which the doctor's time cannot permit.
