Key program components
UDHC allows patients to connect with over 500 physicians globally through an online platform. Patients, healthcare providers, and trained community health entrepreneur(TCHE) work together to connect stakeholders to this valuable resource even in the most remote areas that have inadequate access to formal healthcare. The web/internet based platform provides comprehensive coverage and understanding of clinical problem solving in healthcare. The system serves as a forum for health experts to refer back to similar health issues discussed in the available case history. The platform will also be integrated with Facebook where patients and doctors can receive notifications. The introduction of TCHE will allow workers in rural India to receive income generated by the social-enterprise model of UDHC.
