The main objective of the organization is to increase awareness about cancer, encourage early screening for successful and timely treatment for reproductive cancers. The organization highlights that the community needs to be informed more about cancer in order to improve health standards and save peoples lives. The main effective treatment of cancer is through early detection, early and timely treatment. The organization emphasizes that Public health education and awareness enhances early diagnosis whereas screening helps reduce cancer risks.
Key program components
CACK’s effort in helping eradicate cancer cases is associated with consideration that other people would not go through the distress of losing their loved ones early. The organization highlights that the community needs to be informed more about cancer in order to improve health standards and save peoples lives.
Create awaness on cancer through advocasy by targeting the low income earners in the communities.The programe carries its activities in the churches and schools where they can reach as many people as possible. Cancer Awareness centre of Kanya provides education on healthy life styles, nutrition and physical fitness.
CACK also provides the following services:
- Screening for reproductive Cancers (Cervical, Prostate and Breast);
- Examination and consultancy for existing cancer patients;
- Cancer education and nutritional talks;
- Cancer survivors counseling and support;
- Blood Donation drive;
- Blood pressure, BMI and Other diseases screening and diagnosis.
