Key program components
The three-network hospital branch that COFAS manages is aimed at providing youth, marganilzed, and poor populations with quality medical and dental care.
Hospital Mazahua was started to provide key maternal and child health services, such as safe childbirth, and for providers to have access to new technology that aids in providing MNCH services. Hospital Mazahua is a private alterative to public services and offers care to poor and marganilzed women and families.
Hospital COFAT was constructed in the region of Soconusco in order to provide essential, acessible, and low-cost or free family planning services to rural and marganilized populations. The Family Guidance Center also delivers basic healthcare needs, health education, employment training, youth services, and micro-financing schemes. More recently, in 2005, a grant was given to COFAS, and much-needed counseling centers were integrated into the facility.
Hospital Alfredo Harp Calderoni Un Kilo was started in 2009 in the region of Temascalcingo. The main purpose of this facility, funded by private organizations and the local government, is to provide quality medical services to the surroudning population.
