OK (formerly Sun Quality Health Network) in Nepal is managed by PSI/Nepal and is a family planning social franchise.Key program components
PSI/Nepal originally launched the Sun Quality Health Network in 2003 in Nepal and in 2009, it became the OK social franchise in Nepal. OK has partnered with the National Health Training Center (NHTC) to provide Basic IUCD training and certification to OK franchisees. OK has a total of 400 community outreach workers, 7 doctors, 640 nurses, midwives, or clinical assistants and 241 pharmacists or drug venders.
Referrals were tracked by referral cards issued by CHWs to people in the community were collected these at franchise clinics and tracked.
OK raised demand for health services through TV and radio advertising, billboards and posters, female community mobilizers, and community-based events such as advocacy meetings, information stalls, and street plays.
